So, the life lesson from Saturn perspective, would be seeing the value of one's qualities and abilities in the eyes of others. In order to understand this point, Mars was placed in Crescent phase to Saturn, so that its discovering energy, the fact-finding-mission could be internalized, to uncover those hidden to native inner resources. So let's take 3rd Individuated Pluto in Libra in new phase conjunction Saturn in 2H, with Mars in Sag 3H in crescent phase Saturn. The evolutionary need was to initiate right types of relationships to accumulate more meaning and values in one's life, to become more resourceful and to have 'currency' in dealing /trade with these 'right-kind people'. (I don't even go into Evolutionary Intention considerations here). Mars acts on these desires to dig some esoteric knoweldge and philosophy, so it can exchange with other smart people out there and enhance one's stock in the process. Saturn in 2H conditions the reality by providing a limited resources to the native, leaving one empty-handed in dealing with others from the get-go. So with time the native have to bring the valuable pieces of information that form the knowledge-base to the Soul, from which it can socialize with right kind of currency in hand (esoteric knowledge, philosophical concepts etc) as equal. The way of it throughout life was to harvest large information input and internilize it (Crescent phase, that is the inner struggle), so later it can be used for weaving the web of intelligent connections/synapses of the brain:) to fetch complex concepts and deeper perceptions (Sag), to share with others. So Mars was studying a lot, getting broad academic education etc. And of course throughout life it is going in phases of transiting Mars & Saturn and everything else for that matter (but that's another story). So Saturn role here was creating these conditions - to restrict the initial resources of individual, so that by right action she/he could reap the rewards. Of course in the absence of action or wrong action, there'd be consequence - a personal bankrupsy in dealing with others as an equal. Still struggling with interchangeable terminology of psychological/mental/emotional, as the Uranus trauma is mental, Chiron wound - emotional, and all relative to a soul nature, which is psychological.. If Chiron is indeed the bridge between the worlds - our physical reality (Saturn) and the original human blueprint (Uranus), as your recommended book and its orbit suggests, what is its natural expression? Still in the woods what does the synodic cycle of Chiron relative to Uranus represent, isn't it symbolic that so many adults carry this signature? Like as you say - inflicting mental/emotional damage on oneself and others, as a psychological condition, while trying to help others? Or others, genuinely desiring to help you, unwittingly harm further? And by throwing it off inflicting additional trauma..and all that dynamic quickly gets psychological) And so all that Argentinian tango of the wound and trauma dances its way through life! The question though goes back to the original EA teaching - the Phases. Let's take semi-squares and sesqui-quadrates - the tide changes from outflow to inflow. These aspects divide the Fixed Signs in half, so one half is Yin and the other - Yang. That means, for example, that first half of Leo is Yang, and the second is Yin.. and I can't reconcile it within myself, as I can see how Leo archetype has feminine qualities as well. And so is with all Fixed Signs. Now, I do like your answer, however following your logic, the next group/tribe based Archetype must be Yin as well.. actually if group is a qualifier of Yin energy, all transpersonal Signs fall into that category, don't they?
