Resolution node (only in a case of a square to the nodes?)

Hi teachers and everyone, I have a technical question about the "RESOLUTION NODE": Is the resolution only for a question of a planet squaring the nodes ? I understood in Ari's teaching classes that for example we can look at the resolution node for any planet, going backwards, even if it is not a square. Is my question clear? Hope so.... Say in other words: with a mercury 5th house taurus 10 degrees, south node in capricorn 25 degrees 1st house, north node cancer 7th house, this is not a square but do we search for a resolution node ? If yes , it would be the south node. Is that correct? Thanks

Hi Christiane,

The resolution Node only applies to a planet that is square to the Lunar North and South Nodes.

Hi Christiane, to further clarify. What I probably meant was that we can use the same tracking technique to determine the phase between the nodes and planets, regardless of the aspect involved.

I.E. we can put our finger on the planet in question and move backwards to track the degree of separation from the node it last formed a conjunction with. Or conversely, we can just as much put our finger on the node and move forwards in the direction of the zodiac until we reach the planet in question.

Basically this illustrates the way planets and nodes move in relation to one anther. But resolution nodes only apply to skipped steps. Hope that clarifies it.
