Hello! Processing Yesterdays workshop, which was fascinating, overwhelming and left me deeply confused, which is OK! My question right now is about how long the phases are. For example, as someone approaches a first quarter square P/M transit, how long would they expect to stay there? If I'm using Mars as the stationary planet in my natal chart, then I'm looking at how Pluto is moving (transiting) in relation to Mars, yes?

Hi Louise, what came to my mind to write is "Your Soul knows what the priority is, even if you don't" (From Rose ~ Guiding Stars for December.) For me I see the natal phasal relationships as the Soul's "agenda" that it is desiring to approach or resolve in this current lifetime. As we know, some issues take a series of lifetimes to resolve, this can be seen as both an obstacle, the delay, or an opportiunity ~ going deep into the issue or theme over a series of lifetimes. I would imagine that the progressed chart will give you a picture of how the Soul through "action" dynamic Mars is developing the theme represented in the phasal relationship over the current lifetime. Maybe someone can add to this and confirm or correct please. Thank you 🙏
Hi Louise,
Yes, this material is rich and deep, and will take time to integrate all of it. So, I encourage all to take their time and to please ask questions along the way.

We did not teach about the transits of Mars and Pluto in class relative to the natal Pluto and Mars, but it works in this way.
Remember when looking at Pluto and Mars phaes through transit, that the natal chart is the anchor.
For example:
If someone has natal Pluto in Virgo at 15 degrees, and currently transting Mars is at 12 Sagittarius, Mars through transit is forming a cresent square with the natal Pluto. It won't be there long because Mars moves pretty quickly.
If you are looking at transiting Pluto moving into forming a crescent square to your natal Mars, then that will be active for a few years, due to the slow motion of Pluto.
Mars through transit, and in aspect to Pluto, will always trigger events that are intended to propel you forward. The square can be stressful, uncomfortable, and can induce vulnerability, but Mars moves fast, so it is important to work through the truth of the teachings in this context, and understand why your Soul is calling in the challenge to grow that it has.
To follow your truth/intuition (Sag), versus the doubt (Virgo)
If Pluto through transit is forming a progressive square to your natal Mars, then you will be in the process of eliminating spearating deisres that do not lead your Soul forward. you will be bumping up against plenty of resistance and potential fear for a much longer period of time, close to 2 years, so as to move beyond what is no longer serving you long-term.
We can show examples of this in future classes. But if you drop in your chart, for teaching purposes, I can more directly answer this question.
Namaste,
Kristin
Thanks Kristin, reminds me of the chorus of a song : https://youtu.be/iMmMqfQZkxA?si=gfjQeJ_5jWS2_Fve&t=8
The theme of surrendering, giving up control, even of seemingly meaningless things rings home
The secondary progressed chart correlates to the "progress of your evolution", primary from a subjective viewpoint. Progressed Pluto moves very, very slow. On average, progressed Mars moves about 1 degree over two years. When Mars turns retrograde via progression, it will stay retrograde for 58 - 81 years. Progressed planetary changes of direction, whether to retrograde or from retrograde to direct are indicative of evolutionary turning points and next evolutionary chapters. A change of phase (from natal Pluto/Mars) - that is to say, between progressed Pluto and progressed Mars, shifts in the momentum or drive regarding the soul will/personal will activation - i.e the motivation for a new phase is to seek fresh experience, the motivation for a balasmic phase is to culminate (relinquish, surrender and transcend), etc.
