Hello,
I am new to the community; having come across the Vol 1 only a couple of months back, and finding it absolutely fascinating yet concise.
My question is regarding Pluto in conjunct to Mercury, from Ch3 of the book.
JWG says that this aspect promotes a need for confrontations so that there's an opening in the rigid intellectual structures, beliefs and way of organising reality. He further says theres a difference between the closed and open type of individual depending on the sign and house placement of Mercury.
I have Mercury conjunct Pluto in Scorpio in the 1st house. The planetary ruler Mars is in the 9th House in Cancer. North node in 2nd H Sagittarius and the South node in 8th H Gemini.
He says the evolutionary need is to commit to a particular system that will allow all other points of view to be referred and thus integrated into the total consciousness. To commit to and absorb one system so it can lead to emotional and intellectual cohesion without the need to defend it as the 'right' way.
So the question is what could this system be? Would it be in the area of the 9th House (philosophy)? or 8th House (mystical things)? or even the 1st house of unconscious/ shadow self? Can it be determined from the chart?
I would appreciate some guidance on my understanding of his work and/or which direction to look to.
Thank you.
Hi Indi,
First welcome to the forum - and sorry for our delay. I sometimes don't notice when there are new posts pending.
This is not something I can answer without seeing the whole chart and also understanding where the soul is at in their evolution. It's all too out of context, and this isn't a place to delve into that. I do have a teaching on Pluto Mercury aspects based on Jeff Green's teachings that you might find helpful to further delve into the nature of the Mercury Pluto relationship. Let me know if you have any other questions that are not personal chart specific.
